The HWG-Business list is used by the HTML Writers Guild to discuss matters related to the business/financial/marketing aspects of running a Web Design & Development business.

Discussions about contracts, ethics, copyright, marketing, sales techniques, etc. are most appropriate. Discussing what to charge, prices, etc. is not a topic for this list. If you have a strong desire to discuss what to charge please read the Pricing FAQ prior to posting.

Special Note: Jobs available/RFP's belong on the HWG-Jobs List. HWG-Jobs is to be used by HTML Writers Guild members to receive postings of help-wanted (permanent, temporary, contract, volunteer, full-time, and part-time) notices. If you have a subscription or administrative problem with the list or if you aren't sure whether this list is where you should be asking for help, then please feel free to contact the List Guides prior to posting to ensure that you are within the guidelines. They can direct you to the most effective location to post your question and they may be able to readily answer you question as well.

If you have a problem with what someone else has posted to the list, then you may freely respond to them in private email or notify the List Guides for the list. No "Guiding" is allowed on the list except by the designated Guides.
