Educational Discount Instructions

The HTML Writers Guild is pleased to offer all registered Students and Educators employed at accredited schools, colleges, universities or other institutions of learning a discount on our membership prices. Annual membership fee will be $35 instead of $49.

To receive the discounted price, fax proof of registration or employment to our office at 626-449-8308. Next, contact our Membership Administrator at 626-449-3709 or membership@iwanet.org to arange payment method.

Proof of Student or Faculty Status

Identification cards:

All IDs must be preprinted with the student or staff members full name and the name of the issuing institution. For students, the current term must be specified on the ID. Between terms (e.g. summer), proof of continuing registration is required for college or trade school students or those moving between high school and college.

Accredited institutions:

Only students or faculty of accredited institutions qualify for this discount. All state or government run schools are considered by the Guild to be accredited by default. Students and staff of private colleges or other private institutions must supply proof of accreditation. Ask your school's office for materials that provide details about this; generally most brochures or other descriptive materials will have this information.

Acceptable Documentation for Individual Memberships

1. For Students attending elementary, jr high, or high school (or international equivalents):
   • Photocopy of current student ID card or
   • Photocopy of state ID card or Drivers license, showing age of 18 years or less, and
   • Photocopy of current registration documents
2. For Students attending College or trade school students:
   • Photocopy of current student ID card or
   • Photocopy of current registration documents
   • AND proof of accreditation for your school (according to guidelines above)
3. For all Faculty or Staff:
   • Photocopy of staff ID card or
   • Letter from Principal, Dean, other management position on official letterhead confirming your employment.
   • AND proof of accreditation as outlined above.
