Welcome to the HWG-OPS mailing list.

This list is used by the HTML Writers Guild members to discuss Guild business and related issues.

This list, while set up for the use of the Governing Board and members involved in maintaining specific areas of the Guild, is open to any member that has a interest in the day-to-day operation of the HTML Writers Guild.

The Guild offers a number of other lists that cover other, specific topics. For more information please see the Mail List home page.

Subscribers of the HWG-Ops mailing list are expected to follow basic rules of netiquette in a civilized manner; please read over the guidelines.

Subscribing

Any current member of The HTML Writers Guild that has an interest in the operation of the Guild is encouraged to subscribe to this list. To subscribe to the list, please send email to:

majordomo(at)hwg.org

In the body of the message, write:

subscribe hwg-ops youraddr(at)your.domain

No subject information is needed. Your email address is optional in the subscribe message.

How to Post

Each list has a different feel and different general community rules. Please spend some time listening in ("lurking") before posting in order to get a feel for the way in which conversations take place.

List Guides

If you aren't sure whether this list is where you should be asking for help, then please feel free to contact the List Guides prior to posting to ensure that you are within the guidelines. They can direct you to the most effective location to post you r question and they may be able to readily answer you question as well.

If you have a problem with what someone else has posted to the list, then you may freely respond to them in private email or notify the List Guides for the list. No "Guiding" is allowed on the list except by the designated Guides.

Note: that HWG-OPS is the one list currently "guided" by GB members and the List Managers, and as such the level of that interaction varies greatly depending upon their time and their perception of the need to intervene.
