- We strongly recommend that you read the Individual
Membership FAQ as well as this FAQ. The Corporate FAQ
only answers the questions not already addressed in the
Individual Membership FAQ.
Specific Questions
- Where do I submit comments
regarding the Corporate Membership information?
- If you wish to comment on the new membership classes -
you may do so, but ONLY on hwg-ops, the
Guild's Operations mailing list. This subject is
off-topic for all other Guild mailing lists and the List
Guides will enforce the Netiquette
Guide to keep our lists on topic and of the quality
our members expect. To subscribe to hwg-ops, please go

- Is the Guild considering the
adoption of an ethics statement for Corporate members as
well as individual members?
- Yes, the ethics statement is currently in draft format
and is under consideration by the GB. The statement will
be available for review prior to the implementation of
the membership classes program.

- Will my Corporate/Institutional
website be able to display a member of the HTML Writers
Guild logo?
- Yes. HWG plans to release an image for use by our
corporate members within the Guild's guidelines. The
corporate membership logo program is still under
discussion and the details will be announced soon.

- Will my business be able to
purchase advertising space on the Guild's website? How
much will it cost?
- Yes. Our corporate members will be able to purchase
advertising space on the Guild's website. Advertising
policies and rate sheets are under development right now.

- The Corporate Membership rates
have several levels based on the number of employees in
the company. How will the Guild determine how many
employees my company has?
- HWG believes that HWG members are honest people. At this
time, we plan to operate on the honor system. If it
appears that companies are fraudulently representing
their number of employees, the Governing Board will
address that issue in the future.
