Prerequisites
Introduction to Adobe Illustrator (G401) or sufficient life experience to be considered intermediate level Illustrator users. Students entering the class on a life experience qualification will need prior instructor approval.
Requirements
  • Software: Because of the length of the class, students must have a full version of Adobe Illustrator version 9, 10, CS or CS2 installed on their machines - a trial version will not offer sufficient time to complete the course.
  • Web space: Students must also have webspace available to post assignments, and the ability to post their homework in that webspace. Many of the Illustrator files will be quite large, so make sure you have sufficient space available. Check freewebspace.net or brinkster.com for free space, however please try and avoid using free space such as GeoCities that place banners or other scripting on your pages. If you have questions, please check with your ISP for information on what's needed to post files on the web.

How eClasses Work:The classroom environment is based on Lundeen & Associates Web Crossing technology, a threaded messaging system. Instructors post lectures, reading selections, and hands-on assignments once a week in the online classroom. Students can discuss the assignments with the instructor and amongst themselves in the classroom area. This format has no set meeting time, which allows students to attend class at a time most convenient to them, yet still provides logically organized communication between class participants. Students can apply for the completion certificate after finishing the class. Web Study certificate is also available. Click on the Certificates link on the top navigation bar for more information.
